THE LORE
Nandy & The BB Buoys is a virtual-meets-reality music band from Trinidad, created by producer and “Momager” Nandelle (Nandy). Originally a rock outfit, the band embraced Bouyon after Nandy introduced them to the vibrant style, shaping their signature hybrid sound. BB stands for “Bouyon Borrow,” symbolizing their playful fusion of genres and cultures.
The group features:
- Jimbo – A seasoned drummer under 25, with a rich bass voice and years of band experience.
- Sookie – The handsome heartbreaker with a powerful high-tone voice and striking trumpet solos.
- The Raj Twins: Slim & Drakka – East Indian countryside brothers, naturally gifted musicians, the band’s DJ and hype man.
Nandy built the band to support her Soca-infused cover series, blending rock, alternative, EDM, and Bouyon. This collaboration birthed The BB Buoys.
